Main Role: AUTH participates in STURNET with members of the School of Agriculture and the School of Veterinary Medicine and leads the technical and scientific backbone of the project. It develops the data collection methodology, including standardized protocols for eDNA sampling and is responsible for the project’s Quality Assurance Plan. AUTH also carries out eDNA laboratory analysis and leads the joint publication of findings on sturgeon population dynamics, based on regional data collected by all partners.It also supports the mapping model for sturgeon habitats and risk zones, using its expertise in marine biology.
