Main Role: ECC Cahul is a non-governmental organization dedicated to environmental protection and sturgeon conservation in the Lower Prut region. Within the SturNet project, we contribute through:
- Monitoring sturgeon populations and their habitats
- Collecting and analyzing ecological data to support the development of conservation strategies.
- Participating in the development of digital tools that track sturgeon migration routes and spawning areas.
- Engaging local communities and raising public awareness about the importance of sturgeon protection and aquatic ecosystem conservation.
- Collaborating with international partners to exchange knowledge and strengthen the transnational sturgeon conservation network.
Through these activities, ECC Cahul actively contributes to the protection of sturgeon and the sustainable management of aquatic ecosystems in the region.
