Development of the Transnational Sturgeon Network in the Black Sea Basin

International Awareness-Raising and Networking Workshop organised within the Interreg NEXT SturNet project to strengthen regional cooperation for the protection of sturgeons and their habitats across the Black Sea Basin and Lower Danube region.

About the Event

A dedicated platform for dialogue between scientists, fisheries management experts, environmental activists, public institutions, and stakeholders working for aquatic biodiversity conservation.

The State Organization “Institute of Market and Economic&Ecological Researches of NAS of Ukraine” is pleased to invite participants to the International Awareness-Raising and Networking Workshop: “Development of the Transnational Sturgeon Network in the Black Sea Basin”.

The event is organised within the framework of the Interreg NEXT project “Network for the Preservation of Sturgeon and for the Sustainability of the Black Sea Basin Ecosystem – SturNet” (BSB00172).

The workshop aims to strengthen regional cooperation for the protection of sturgeons and their habitats in the Black Sea Basin, including the Lower Danube region.

During the event, the current stage of SturNet project implementation, its objectives, activities, and preliminary results will be presented.

The workshop will create a communication platform for open dialogue between scientists, fisheries management experts, and environmental activists. Discussions will focus on creating a transboundary monitoring network and developing strategies for ecosystem sustainability in the Black Sea Basin.

Participation and Updates
