Gebze Technical University hosted the SturNet consortium for two days of project coordination, transnational networking, digital tool planning, and a study visit to a sturgeon breeding centre in Bolu.
The fourth SturNet transnational meeting combined a full working day at Gebze Technical University with a study visit focused on sturgeon breeding and restoration practice.
On 16–17 September 2026, the SturNet consortium gathered in Türkiye for its Fourth Transnational Project Meeting (TPM4), hosted by Gebze Technical University (GTU).
Partners reviewed the implementation of core project activities, including the expansion of the Transnational Sturgeon Network and the Digital Cooperation Tool and mobile application, which bring together sturgeon and environmental data on a common platform.
The consortium also coordinated the remaining implementation period, including forthcoming awareness-raising events and joint scientific work arising from project field research.
A dedicated session explored future collaboration opportunities in the Black Sea Basin, including transnational networking, digital mapping tools, sustainable blue economy, and biodiversity restoration.
