Description: This scientific article presents an assessment of the fish species composition within aquatic ecosystems of the Emerald Network in Ukraine. It analyzes the distribution, representativeness, and conservation significance of 25 fish species across 271 designated Emerald sites. The authors identify both widespread species and rare endemics, highlighting gaps in ichthyological knowledge and the need for unified monitoring systems and legislative support to enhance fish biodiversity protection in line with the Berne Convention.
