Description: This conference paper presents a comprehensive statistical analysis of the Danube River’s hydrological regime at the Ceatal Izmail station. Using long-term discharge data from 1841 to 2015, the study explores minimum, average, and maximum annual discharges, hydrograph wave segmentation, and changes in the frequency and duration of floods and droughts. Advanced techniques such as autocorrelation, spectral analysis, and non-parametric trend tests (Mann-Kendall, Spearman’s rho) were applied. Findings reveal multi-decadal cyclic patterns in discharge dynamics linked to climatic oscillations (NAO, AO, SO), and notable temporal shifts in peak flow timing and hydrological extremes.
